Disneyland Paris has announced that World of Frozen in Disney Adventure World will open on March 29, 2026. The reimagined park will feature the new World of Frozen land alongside significant expansions, including a new lake, that will approximately double the park’s original size. The transformation represents a €2 billion investment plan and affects more than 90% of the second park’s offerings since 2002.

World of Frozen: A New Immersive Land
The centerpiece of the expansion is World of Frozen, which recreates the Kingdom of Arendelle from the popular animated films. The land features a 118-foot-tall North Mountain crowned by Elsa’s Ice Palace, with the village of Arendelle positioned at its base. The architecture incorporates Nordic-inspired buildings with traditional Norwegian decorative art known as rosemaling, while landscaping includes conifers, birches, beeches, and crocuses to evoke Scandinavian settings.

The main attraction, Frozen Ever After, will take guests on a boat ride through scenes from the films, featuring songs including “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and “Let It Go.” The ride utilizes advanced Audio-Animatronics figures and immersive projection technologies, traveling from snowy forests through the Valley of the Trolls to Elsa’s Ice Palace before concluding in Arendelle Bay lit by snowflake-shaped fireworks..

Character experiences include a Royal Encounter with Anna and Elsa in Arendelle Castle, where guests pass through a Portrait Gallery before meeting the characters. A 15-minute daytime show called “A Celebration in Arendelle” will take place multiple times daily on Arendelle Bay, featuring Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff and villagers performing aboard three Viking longships constructed by French shipbuilder Couach Construction Navale.

For this show, songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who won an Oscar for “Let It Go,” have composed new music exclusively for Disneyland Paris. The duo also created the franchise’s other notable songs including “For the First Time in Forever” and “Into the Unknown.”

Disneyland Paris also revealed a next-generation animatronic, walk around, Olaf character. This advanced figure, developed by Walt Disney Imagineering Research & Development with Disney Live Entertainment and Walt Disney Animation Studios, will appear in the Arendelle Bay show and make limited appearances at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

Dining options include Nordic Crowns Tavern, a quick-service restaurant offering customizable Nordic-inspired meals with 16 possible combinations. Guests can choose from bases like mashed potatoes or quinoa, proteins including grilled salmon or Nordic meatballs, seasonal vegetables, and sauces such as cranberry or creamy dill. The menu also features desserts ranging from blue sorbet to Nordic pastries, with gluten-free and vegan options available.

The Arendelle Boutique will sell Frozen merchandise alongside Scandinavian-crafted items including wooden sculptures, rosemaling-adorned objects, and Nordic-inspired clothing. Adjacent to the shop, the Fjord View Shop will offer an interactive baby troll toy named Rúna, which reacts to touch and interacts with locations and characters throughout World of Frozen. The shop will also provide festival-themed makeup and hairstyling services.

Adventure Bay and Nighttime Spectacular
Adventure Bay, a 7.5-acre lake, serves as the central hub of the park expansion. The West Pavilion along the lake’s shore will feature character meet-and-greets with Mickey and Minnie in new Victorian outfits created by the Disneyland Paris Costume Workshop, with additional characters joining after the opening.

At night, the lake hosts Disney Cascade of Lights, a new nighttime spectacular featuring stories from Disney Animation’s Mulan, Hercules, Moana, and Zootopia, Pixar’s Up, and the Marvel Universe. The show incorporates water screens, choreographed fountains, projections, lighting effects, and pyrotechnics in a 360-degree configuration with tiered viewing areas.

A distinctive feature is a ballet of 379 drones developed with technology provider Dronisos, representing the world’s first integration of aerial and aquatic drone systems in a theme park show. The production includes a soundtrack recorded by a 90-piece orchestra, featuring arrangements of Disney music and a new anthem titled “We Can Be Heroes,” along with an original adaptation of “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana.

Adventure Way and Additional Attractions
Adventure Way, the park’s new main avenue, connects World Premiere Plaza to the various themed lands including Marvel Avengers Campus, Worlds of Pixar, and World of Frozen. The avenue features Raiponce Tangled Spin, a family attraction recreating the Lantern Festival scene from Tangled. Guests ride in gondolas beneath illuminated floating lanterns while hearing music from the film, including “I See the Light,” with audio announcements recorded by Mandy Moore, the original voice of Rapunzel.

The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge on Adventure Way serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a setting decorated with embroidered drapes, floral tapestries, and murals depicting Disney Princesses. Guests can meet characters including Belle, Merida, Jasmine, Aurora, Mulan, and Ariel, with some princesses wearing outfits not previously seen at Disneyland Paris. The restaurant features ornamental plates hand-crafted by Royal Delft, the official porcelain supplier to the Dutch royal family, and a canopy created by Schaffner workshops in Alsace. Select tables offer views of Adventure Bay and the nighttime show.

The Regal View Lounge represents the first bar inside either of the two Disneyland Paris parks. The space features a wooden bar with golden accents and artwork honoring Disney Princess animal companions such as Heihei, Pascal, and Mushu. The lounge serves signature cocktails and beverages inspired by Disney Princesses, with views overlooking the lake and World of Frozen, accompanied by piano music.

Adventure Way includes 14 food and beverage locations offering various options. La Terrasse Panoramique serves bread bowls, New York rolls, and hot beverages, while Café Luminosity features four signature hot dog recipes and cinnamon rolls. Three kiosks, five chalets, and mobile carts offer items including filled brioche rolls, stuffed potato waffles, and Disney Princess-inspired desserts.

Themed gardens along Adventure Way celebrate Disney and Pixar stories, including the Tangled Garden and Toy Story Garden, the latter featuring monumental statues of Woody and Jessie with topiary shaped like toys. The Gazebo Garden presents an English-style setting with bronze statues honoring Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, and One Hundred and One Dalmatians. Throughout the year, this garden hosts musical encounters with characters including Rapunzel and Flynn in spring, Mary Poppins and the Pearly Band in summer, Miguel’s Fiesta Latina in fall, and other Disney characters starting November 2026.

The Disney Marching Band, led by Minnie Mouse with 12 musicians, will parade down Adventure Way performing modern arrangements of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel songs. A 40-minute original musical score recorded at Abbey Road Studios will play throughout the avenue.

Future Developments
Disneyland Paris has announced additional future attractions for Disney Adventure World. A family-friendly flying carousel inspired by Pixar’s Up will be added to Adventure Way. Construction has also begun on a themed area dedicated to The Lion King, which will include a major attraction combining water-based elements with Audio-Animatronics figures, taking guests through the Pride Lands and Simba’s story accompanied by songs from the 1994 film.

The transformed Disney Adventure World will complement Disneyland Park, which continues to focus on timeless stories and classic tales. Upon completion, the second park will feature three immersive lands—World of Frozen, Worlds of Pixar, and Marvel Avengers Campus—with The Lion King area to follow as a fourth land.
