A recent milestone celebrated by the Walt Disney Imagineering Paris landscaping team underscores the project’s progress: the installation of the tallest tree in the expansion. This 16-meter-tall Quercus phellos, commonly known as a Willow Oak, now stands proudly in the Gazebo Garden. Designed to evoke English-style gardens, this area will host a variety of entertainment offerings in a serene setting. The Willow Oak is expected to grow up to 30 meters tall in its lifetime, becoming a centerpiece of the park’s natural beauty.

Over 1,000 trees, representing a diverse array of species, will be planted throughout the expansion to enhance the experience of the themed lands. For years, Imagineers have carefully curated this selection, sourcing trees from nurseries across France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Italy. Each species has been chosen for its adaptability to the climatic conditions of Seine-et-Marne.

Disneyland Paris already boasts a remarkable collection of approximately 33,000 trees, 330,000 shrubs, and 7,400 square meters of flowerbeds, and the addition of Adventure Way will further its verdant charm.

As progress continues, Adventure Way’s themed gardens promise to become a defining feature of the expansion, providing a prelude to the themed worlds awaiting park goers in Disney Adventure World. Subscribe to AirMagique for more updates and news.
