A new seasonal outdoor experience for Star Wars enthusiasts will debut in Discoveryland on May 31, 2025. “Lounge Lightspeed,” situated on the rooftop of Starport, will provide guests with an opportunity to interact with BDX droids and other Star Wars characters in a lounge terrace setting.

The venue, which can accommodate approximately 50 visitors, offers distinctive views of both an X-wing starfighter and the surrounding Discoveryland area. Designed as an open-air space, the lounge aims to provide a relaxation spot during the summer months.

Thematically connected to the “Star Tours: the Adventures Continue” attraction, Lounge Lightspeed allows park goers to enjoy refreshments and Star Wars-themed snacks before their Star Tours experience. The establishment features metallic structures, skyline views, neon lighting, and atmospheric music that transports guests to the Star Wars universe. Visitors may also spot a familiar droid waiting for reprogramming while ordering at the bar.
