Disneyland Paris has announced plans to celebrate Star Wars Day on May 4th with a series of special events, character appearances, and unique experiences for park visitors.

The celebration will feature the debut appearance of Ahsoka at Disneyland Park from May 4-11, joining other fan-favorite characters including Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Din Djarin (the Mandalorian), and Grogu. Visitors interested in encounters with the Dark Side will have opportunities to see Kylo Ren and Stormtroopers patrolling Discoveryland.

For younger visitors, a new interactive lightsaber training experience will be available from May 4-24. This walk-up activity, designed primarily for children under 10, will teach the ways of the Force through guidance from the Saja.

Developed by Walt Disney Imagineering Research & Development, Disney Research, and Disney Live Entertainment, these droids represent significant advancements in robotics technology.

The BDX Droids, recipients of the 2025 Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement in Technical Innovation, will be available for guest interactions in Discoveryland for three weeks starting May 4th.

“Technology is just the tool — we use it in service of story and emotion,” said Kyle Laughlin, SVP of Walt Disney Imagineering Research & Development. “Beyond the tech, what really sets them apart is that spark of personality — they’re full of life, and they make people smile. That’s what we’re really after: emotional connection through technology.”

The celebration will also feature exclusive Star Wars-themed merchandise, including Grogu-inspired coffee accessories and Star Wars clothing items suitable for fans of both the light and dark sides of the Force. Subscribe to AirMagique for more news and updates.
