Disneyland Paris is commemorating the 75th anniversary of Disney’s animated classic “Cinderella” with special events and offerings across the resort. The beloved film, which premiered on February 15, 1950, has played a significant role in Disney’s history and theme park development.

The film’s journey began in 1922 when Walt Disney created his first adaptation of the tale in Kansas City through his Laugh-O-Grams studio. After several attempts, including an unrealized Silly Symphony project in 1933, Disney finally released the full-length animated feature in 1950. The film garnered three Oscar nominations and marked the beginning of a new golden age for Disney animation.

At Disneyland Paris, the character’s presence is particularly meaningful given France’s connection to Charles Perrault, the tale’s original author. The resort’s Fantasyland features L’Auberge de Cendrillon, a restaurant designed to reflect the Renaissance architecture of France’s Loire Valley. The venue incorporates architectural elements that inspired the film’s artistic directors Mary Blair and John Hench in their creation of the Tremaine mansion.

The resort has announced several commemorative offerings for the anniversary. The Disneyland Hotel is featuring special “Cinderella Signature Suites” and offering “My Royal Dream” makeover experiences for young guests. The park’s restaurants are introducing new themed menu items, including a specially crafted anniversary dessert from the resort’s pastry chefs.

The celebration extends to entertainment offerings across both parks. At Walt Disney Studios Park, Cinderella appears in the “Mickey and the Magician” show, while the main park features her in “Disney Tales of Magic,” a nighttime spectacular that debuted in January 2025. During this show, the Fairy Godmother’s magic transforms Main Street, U.S.A. into a gleaming ballroom setting for Cinderella and Prince Charming.

Retail locations throughout the resort are releasing exclusive merchandise for the occasion, including a new Spirit Jersey sweatshirt, denim jacket, themed headband, collectible figurine, and anniversary doll collection.

The character maintains a regular presence at the resort through meet-and-greet opportunities at both the Princess Pavilion and L’Auberge de Cendrillon, continuing to fulfill wishes for visitors, including those from the Make-A-Wish program.
