Disneyland Paris officials have presented an updated master plan outlining the resort’s development vision through 2036, featuring significant additions including a seventh hotel property. As shared by @DLPReport on BlueSky, the presentation included a comprehensive model of the proposed developments, which was previously shown to a limited audience in 2011.

The new hotel development, set to replace the current Events Arena, will be situated along Lake Disney and incorporate a dedicated convention space across the street. The architectural plans reveal an expansive complex with building heights comparable to the existing Disney Newport Bay Club, notably featuring what appears to be a Mickey Mouse-shaped lake within its courtyard design.

The master plan also confirms the second phase of the Disney Village re-design, building upon the ongoing transformation initially announced in 2018. This phase will introduce additional retail outlets, dining establishments, and entertainment venues to enhance the visitor experience.

In terms of infrastructure improvements, the updated model showcases the new solar panel installations in the parking areas and two additional backstage facilities in Discoveryland. The plan extends beyond tourism-focused developments to encompass office spaces and residential projects in the surrounding Val d’Europe region, demonstrating a commitment to broader economic development through Real Estate Development by Euro Disney.
While the model presents an aspirational vision for the resort’s future, it notably excludes certain elements, such as the ongoing Walt Disney Studios Park extension. The space previously designated for a potential third Disney park remains undeveloped in the current planning model, and an area opposite Disney Hotel Santa Fe, which previously featured a hotel concept, has been redesigned as open space.

Disneyland Paris has a history of unrealized hotel concepts, including the fan favorite New Orleans-inspired design by Dan Goozee. The presented master plan will guide development decisions through the expiration of the current government agreement in 2036. Subscribe to AirMagique for more news and updates.
