This transition will be commemorated with the renaming of Walt Disney Studios Park to Disney Adventure World, coinciding with the inauguration of World of Frozen, an immersive zone dedicated to the wintry landscapes of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen. As the park undergoes this unprecedented transformation, aiming to elevate the park goers experience, the entire resort will continue to enhance its offerings in the years ahead.

In the past, Disneyland Paris has undergone a surge of projects aimed at revitalizing the park goer experience. Among the key initiatives of the transformation plan, made possible by a two-billion-euro investment, is the comprehensive overhaul of Walt Disney Studios Park, alongside the ongoing expansion with new themed areas that will complement Marvel Avengers Campus, inaugurated in 2022, and Worlds of Pixar. By the conclusion of its expansion journey, Disney Adventure World is poised to double its footprint.

Upon its inauguration in 2002, the initial concept driving the establishment of the second park was to provide park goers with an insider’s perspective into the production of movies, animated features, and television productions. However, the park’s concept has since evolved creatively to offer more immersive environments. In 2007, it embarked on it’s first expansion with the introduction of numerous large-scale, endeavors such as The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Toy Story Playland, and Ratatouille: The Adventure. From the recent unveiling of Worlds of Pixar and Marvel Avengers Campus to the development of a Frozen-inspired domain.

Tom Fitzgerald, from Walt Disney Imagineering, emphasizes the shift at Walt Disney Studios Park from traditional “how it’s done” soundstages to immersive adventure worlds will redefine the park’s identity.

Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris, highlights the extensive transformation of over 90% of Walt Disney Studios Park since its inception in 2002. The renaming of the park to Disney Adventure World coincides with the grand opening of the World of Frozen, signaling a new chapter.
