Avengers Campus has been a big upgrade for Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris. Our little ugly duckling of a park is slowly but surely starting to turn into a beautiful swan.
74. Secrets of Avengers Campus | Disneyland Paris – AirMagique – Unofficial Disneyland Paris & European Theme Park Podcast
Avengers Campus is packed to the brim with fun details, references and secrets to keep an eye out for during your next visit.

Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure
Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure is a challenging interactive screen featuring these cool W.E.B. Slinger vehicles. The entire load/unload area feels industrial and is reminiscent of a subway station.

However, one secret that many park goers miss is that the W.E.B. Slinger vehicles feature a “code” just above the seats. One states “PRKR-150862”, PRKR refers to Parker since Peter Parker is Spider-Man and the number 150862 references the date of Spider-Man’s first ever appearance in a comic book.

Back in the industrial themed queue of Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure, you may have noticed a large card shelf. The in universe storyline is that we are visitors at the Worldwide Engineering Brigade. A free minded innovation site founded by Tony Stark. It is housed in a former Stark Industries production facility.
Originally built by Tony Starks father. Right before the 3D goggle handout station is an area where former Stark employees had to stamp their time cards. Visitors pass by the stamp machine on the right side wall. A fun detail is that park goers can also see lots of cards here. The cards don’t feature former Stark employee names but those of the Disney Imagineers that worked on Avengers Campus in Paris. Imagineers include Beth Clapperton, Keith Rector and Lorraine Huriet.

Hidden Mickey’s are a staple across Disney resorts around the globe. As many readers will likely know, a Hidden Mickey is a representation of Mickey Mouse that has been inserted subtly into the design of an attraction, restaurant, hotel or other on-property location. The most common Hidden Mickey is comprised of a formation of three circles that may be perceived as the silhouette of the head and ears of Mickey Mouse. Hidden Mickeys may be painted, made up of objects (such as rocks, or three plates on a table), or as a reference. Hidden Mickeys come in many forms, shapes and sizes. Although the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and Mickey Mouse don’t feel like they hang out in the same circles, there are a few Hidden Mickey’s at Avengers Campus in Walt Disney Studios Park. Park goers will have to look closely to spot them. One of the Hidden Mickey’s can be found in the queue of Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure. There’s a brick wall in the corridor after the 3D goggle collection. It is possible to spot the Hidden Mickey by carefully examining the bricks. A Mickey shaped head appears to have been burned into them.

There’s a lot going on in the queue of Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure. Let’s explore another cool secret inside the attraction. As it would appear several superheroes have checked-in at W.E.B., also known as the Worldwide Engineering Brigade. Find out who it was by checking out some interesting items in the first half of the indoor queue. Looking towards the back one can spot a pair of roller skates. The skates are a reference to the Super Hero Lunella Lafayette, also known as Moon Girl. There’s an entire animated series dedicated to the character on Disney+ called Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.

Another fun secret is the Midtown School of Science and Technology hoodie. A Spiderman a.k.a. Peter Parker reference, as he was a Midtown-student. Peter wore a hoodie just like this in the 2017 film Spider-Man: Homecoming.

PYM Kitchen
The Ant-Man franchise heavily features so-called Pym particles. The in-universe story is that the subatomic particles, discovered by Dr. Henry Pym, are capable of altering mass and size. PYM Kitchen, a buffet restaurant in Avengers Campus, is themed to a laboratory. The servers are rocking lab coats and are serving scientist realness. Park goers can try food that has been altered by Pym particles.

When entering Pym Kitchen look up and watch food items being shrunk or enlarged. This effect is achieved by a screen overlayed with a fresnel lens, this adds more depth and is the same technology that was once used on the defunct Galactic Starcruiser guest room windows. The buffet also features comically enlarged and shrunk food items. In addition, dishes are blue and red to match the Pym particle colors.

On to the secret, right outside of the restaurant is a giant Pym particle disc, one of Ant-Man’s tools. Looking closely, one may be able to spot a tiny Pym particle disc on top of the large disc. It’s a fun and often overlooked detail.

PYM Kitchen hosts a plethora of cool details and often overlooked secrets. When arriving at their table, many park goers will spot the comic-style placemats. While there are several of the placemats, all of them contain puzzles and can be colored. It is possible to request crayons from the servers. A fun secret to look out for on the placemats is that they are all signed by Cassie Lang. Cassie is the daughter of Scott Lang a.k.a. Ant-Man. This is a reference to her character being depicted as a young kid in the first few films. However, if one has seen Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Cassie has clearly outgrown the placements and become a hero herself.

W.E.B. Food Truck
After exploring Avengers Campus one has earned a well deserved snack break. Let’s head over to one of the food trucks in Avengers Campus. The W.E.B. Food Truck is located directly across from the Hero Training Center. It specializes in asian inspired noodles, noodle soup as well as coconut and egg yolk balls. While W.E.B. usually refers to the Worldwide Engineering Brigade, the truck has it’s own definition. If one look’s closely at the typographic logo text, highlighted in red on the trucks facade, one can read “Worldwide Eating Brigade”. A whimsical bit of wordplay.

Stark Factory
Stark Factory is the massive quick service location inside Avengers Campus. It mainly serves pizza, pasta and salads in an industrial setting. Park goers who have been to the Stark Factory may have spotted a multipurpose spray can that looks somewhat like WD-40 spray next to the giant Hulkbuster.

After taking a close look at the label it becomes clear that it actually says “WDI-1401”. WDI stands for Walt Disney Imagineering and 1401 refers to their address, 1401 Flowerstreet in Glendale, California, U.S.A.. Another often overlooked detail is that the yellow label has the shape of a Cast Member name tag.

The WDI-1401 spray cans can also be spotted in the pre-show of Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure. Pro tip: give the parmesan sauce pasta a try next time you’re in Stark Factory.

Let’s stick to Stark Factory and head on over to Peggy Carter’s office, which one can find on the right hand side when entering the restaurant through the main entrance. Agent Carter used to be an agent of SHIELD, a counter terrorism organization from the Marvel comics, television and film’s.

Carter even became director of SHIELD, which used the location in Paris as a strategic station. The team discovered her office during a refurbishment of the factory and kept it intact for nostalgic reasons. Her office is full of neat details including a map where the last known location of Steven Rogers a.k.a. Captain America is highlighted.

FAN-tastic Food Truck
Park goers exploring the back of Avengers Campus have likely stumbled across the FAN-tastic Food Truck. It specializes in hot dogs and cheese cake on a stick. The truck’s exterior is adorned with various props like Mjölnir, the hammer of Thor, the shield of Captain America, funko pops in the driver cabin, and a ton of stickers and pictures. It feels like this truck was part of some sort of world tour, visiting important Avengers locations and campuses. Several of the photographs feature a person.

One shows them pretending to hold up the Avenger Tower (Leaning Tower of Pisa style) another in front of PYM Laboratories. Well the individual depicted in the photographs is Beth Clapperton, lead creative from Walt Disney Imagineering at Disneyland Paris. Beth not only worked on Avengers Campus Paris but on several other Disneyland Paris projects as well, most notably Ratatouille.
