Disneyland Paris has announced that its popular Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy attraction will undergo an extensive renovation beginning this October (2025). The attraction, located at Walt Disney Studios Park, will remain closed for several months before reopening to guests in spring 2026.

The renovation project is a collaboration between Walt Disney Imagineering Paris and Disneyland Paris teams, focusing on technical upgrades and scenic enhancements designed to create a more immersive experience based on Pixar Animation Studios’ Ratatouille film.

Planned Enhancements
The renovation will include several key improvements to the ride experience. The attraction’s queue area will feature a new scene depicting a Parisian artist’s studio, complete with detailed props including wall-mounted canvases, paint splatters, and decorative elements designed to enhance the storytelling environment. It’s possible that the new scene may go in the current 3D glasses distribution/cleaning area.

Within the main show itself, Disney Imagineers will install new props, latest generation projectors, and larger-scale set pieces intended to strengthen the illusion of guests being shrunk to the size of the film’s rat characters.

Technical 2D Modernization
A significant component of the renovation involves updating the attraction’s technical infrastructure. All existing video projectors will be replaced with state-of-the-art equipment, and the attraction will also receive enhanced video media content to improve visual quality.
Following months of testing and guest feedback analysis, Disney has decided that the attraction’s media content will be permanently presented in 2D format upon reopening.
Broader Renovation Program
This project represents part of Disneyland Paris’ ongoing commitment to attraction maintenance and enhancement. The park has recently completed major renovations on Le Pays des Contes de Fées and Big Thunder Mountain, with work currently underway on the Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast attraction.
The Ratatouille renovation is scheduled to begin in October 2025, with the enhanced attraction expected to welcome guests again in spring 2026. Subscribe to AirMagique for more news and updates.
