Europa-Park is currently in the midst of transforming its former revolving theater into a new interactive 3D ride attraction called “GRAND PRIX EDventure.” The construction project involves extensive renovations to accommodate MACK Rides’ gameplay theater technology in the existing structure located under the FoodLoop restaurant.

The attraction is being developed alongside the upcoming feature film “GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE,” a co-production between MACK Magic and Warner Bros. Film Productions Germany produced by Michael Mack. The film is scheduled for worldwide release in summer 2025, with a July 24th premiere date for German-speaking countries.

According to park representatives, the former home of the “Journey to Rulantica” multimedia show has been completely gutted to make way for the new installation. The renovation has required removal of interior walls, dismantling of technical equipment, and structural adaptations to properly integrate the gameplay theater system.

The theming elements of the attraction are designed to immerse visitors in the world of Europa-Park’s mascots Ed and Edda, who feature prominently in the upcoming film. Construction crews are currently working on detailed backdrops and multimedia components that will create a new environment for guests.

The ride system itself will feature 18 gondolas, each accommodating eight passengers, with the complete experience lasting approximately six minutes. The attraction will be accessible to visitors as young as three years old and at least 90 centimeters tall when accompanied by an adult.

Technical specialists from MACK One and MACK Rides are collaborating on the installation of the ride’s components, which include sensor technology, projection systems, and interactive game mechanics.
Europa-Park plans to debut “GRAND PRIX EDventure” during its 2025 anniversary season, though a specific opening date has not yet been announced. Subscribe to AirMagique for more news and updates.
