The Sports Bar at Disney Village, a favortie of sports enthusiasts since its opening in 1992, is set to undergo a significant refurbishment. The venue will close its doors at the end of this year and is slated to reopen in 2025, boasting a new design. The revamped bar will offer an increased seating capacity, a redesigned plant-filled terrace, and a completely new interior design, all sponsored by Coca-Cola, the resort’s official partner.

This extensive transformation is part of a broader initiative to elevate the retail, dining, and entertainment complex at Disney Village. Recent updates include the opening of Brasserie ROSALIE, new concepts for the LEGO Store, McDonald’s, and Disney shops, as well as redesigned façades, pathways, and landscaping.

The Sports Bar, located at the heart of Disney Village, will be transformed into a sports lounge with a warm atmosphere. The new Sports Bar & Lounge will feature a contemporary design that subtly nods to various sports. The bar premises will be merged with the New York Style Sandwiches restaurant, creating space for over 460 seats and a variety of new furniture, including high-top tables, banquettes, a lounge area, and a section that can be reserved for private events.

The outdoor terrace will be converted into a plant-filled patio with a transparent ceiling, allowing guests to enjoy sunlight and major sports events broadcasts on large screens. The large windows will provide views of the lively atmosphere inside the bar.

Inside, the bar’s walls will be adorned with sports memorabilia and artwork, including a mural featuring Goofy as a football player from the classic short film “How to Play Football,” created by renowned Disney animator Eric Goldberg. This exclusive artwork pays homage to both animation and Disney’s beloved characters.

The revamped Sports Bar & Lounge will also offer a reimagined food and beverage menu, featuring shareable appetizers, plated meals, and an array of drinks. Guests can look forward to a wide selection of draft and homemade beers, ciders, cocktails, mocktails, and shareable drinks, exclusive to the venue.

As part of this transformation, both the current Sports Bar and the New York Style Sandwiches restaurant will close for several months at the end of the year, with the goal of delivering a new and exciting dining experience for visitors when they reopen in 2025.
