Disneyland Park’s fan favorite Boardwalk Candy Palace on Main Street, U.S.A. is set to reopen on April 11, 2025, following extensive renovations that transform the sweet shop into a new “gourmet experience” featuring M&M’S brand candies.

The redesigned exterior now incorporates elements of the M&M’S brand, including a new window display with a three-layered boardwalk illustration creating a depth effect. Inside, the Atlantic City-inspired promenade theme has been enhanced with decorative upgrades throughout the space.

The renovation features a redesigned floor with shell motifs on sand-colored terrazzo and sea-inspired mosaics. Overhead, decorative hot-air balloons float near colorful ceiling frescoes composed of nearly 35,000 M&M’S candies.

Cash registers have been repositioned in front of the iconic 9.15-meter mural depicting a summer day in Atlantic City, flanked by illuminated columns filled with colorful confections.

Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, Design & Delivery and Merchandise teams collaborated on the renovation, carefully preserving original architectural elements from the shop’s 1992 opening while enhancing the space for contemporary visitors.

The tradition of featuring a sweet shop on Main Street, in a Disney park, dates back to the original Candy Palace, which opened at Disneyland (California, U.S.A.) in 1955. Subscribe to AirMagique for more news and updates.
