Gold Rush Adventure in Frontierland
A gold nugget treasure hunt has been operational in Frontierland for several weeks, developed through collaboration between Disneyland Paris’s Merchandise and On-site Communications teams alongside Walt Disney Imagineering Paris. The experience centers around the fictional character Will Ketchum, Sheriff of Thunder Mesa, who enlists park goers to help recover treasure scattered by bandits throughout the themed area.

Participants obtain instruction leaflets from designated Cast Members in Frontierland and search for hidden gold nuggets integrated into the land’s theming. Upon locating 10 or more nuggets, park goers can submit their findings at the Thunder Mesa Mercantile Building boutique to receive a commemorative item. The activity incorporates elements from Thunder Mesa’s established backstory, with treasure locations distributed throughout the Wild West-themed environment.

Upcoming Pirates-Themed Hunt in Adventureland
Disneyland Paris plans to launch a permanent treasure hunt experience later this summer within Adventure Isle’s cave system in Adventureland. The new attraction draws inspiration from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, featuring characters from the popular ride who challenge park goers to locate their missing belongings.

The experience requires participants to explore various caves to find eight specific objects, including items such as a wooden leg, a pirate’s hat, and keys. According to the park’s description, the keys belong to a dog character responsible for guarding imprisoned pirates in a fort’s dungeons.

The installation will feature custom hand-painted posters and themed props designed to enhance the existing Adventure Isle narrative and create stronger thematic connections within Adventureland. Subscribe to AirMagique for more news and updates.
