Dutch theme park reveals interior details of seven-story accommodation ahead of August 1 opening

102. Secrets of World Premiere (Now That It’s Open)
KAATSHEUVEL, Netherlands – Efteling theme park has released the first interior images of its new Grand Hotel, which is set to open on August 1. The seven-story luxury accommodation will be the park’s largest hotel and the first to be located within the park grounds.

The 106-meter-wide hotel features 140 rooms and suites with a total capacity of 644 beds across four color-themed room categories. Guest rooms offer views of various park attractions including the Fairytale Forest (Sprookjesbos), the Aquanura fountain show, the House of the Five Senses main entrance, or the Pardoes Promenade.

The hotel’s design incorporates elements from Efteling’s fairy tale themes throughout its interior.

The lobby will be staffed by themed personnel including doormen, concierges, elevator attendants, and costumed characters representing fairy tale princesses Anura from “The Frog King” and Adinda from “The Princess and the Pea.”

Dining options include Brasserie 7, which serves traditional dishes enhanced with seven magical ingredients described as ranging from “dragon’s breath to fairy dust.”

The restaurant includes a conservatory and outdoor terrace. Additional amenities include a swimming pool with spa facilities and Café Biscuit, a coffee bar.

The hotel also houses Arcadeau, a large souvenir shop that will be accessible to both hotel guests and general park visitors.

To mark the opening, Efteling plans to attach what it describes as a giant ribbon bow to the hotel’s façade in an attempt to establish a Guinness World Record for the largest ribbon bow. Subscribe to AirMagique for more news and updates.
