Disneyland Paris has introduced a new character experience and merchandise tied to Marvel’s Fantastic Four franchise, coinciding with the upcoming release of “Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps” on July 23rd.

102. Secrets of World Premiere (Now That It’s Open)
The theme park experience marks the first time The Thing, one of the Fantastic Four’s core members, has appeared as a character at the European Disney resort. Visitors can meet The Thing at the Gateway Portal location (Avengers Campus) within Walt Disney Studios Park.

The promotion extends beyond character appearances to include themed food and beverage offerings. Marvel Avengers Campus and Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel are serving specialty items inspired by each member of the superhero team: Mister Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch, and The Thing. These menu additions are available for a limited time.

The resort has also expanded its merchandise selection to include Fantastic Four-themed souvenirs, allowing guests to purchase items related to what Marvel describes as their “first family” of superheroes.

The timing of these additions aligns with Marvel Studios’ broader promotional strategy for the new film, which represents the franchise’s latest attempt to bring the Fantastic Four characters to the big screen. The superhero team, which first appeared in Marvel Comics in 1961, consists of scientist Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), his wife Sue Storm (The Invisible Woman), her brother Johnny Storm (The Human Torch), and their friend Ben Grimm (The Thing).

Disneyland Paris has increased its Marvel footprint in recent years, since Disney’s acquisition of Marvel Entertainment, with the Marvel Avengers Campus opening as a dedicated themed area featuring various Marvel characters and storylines. Subscribe to AirMagique for more news and updates.
