The Efteling Hotel, a beloved fixture at the renowned Dutch theme park since its debut in 1996, will undergo a transformation both inside and out, culminating in a name change to the Efteling Wonder Hotel starting in April 2025.
https://anchor.fm/s/7618f58/podcast/rssFamous for its fairytale-like architecture and distinctive four towers, the hotel has long been a magical starting point for visitors to Efteling. To prepare for its next chapter, the hotel will close from January 6 through mid-April 2025 for extensive renovations, focusing on overhauling the first floor. This follows earlier upgrades to the hotel rooms in 2021 and an exterior refurbishment in 2023.

Designed by Wilco Meeuwis, the hotel features 122 rooms, including 22 elaborately themed suites, a restaurant, and a bar. Once reopened as the Efteling Wonder Hotel, it will continue offering guests a unique experience in dream-like accommodations and storybook-inspired suites, designed to immerse visitors in the enchanting tales of Efteling.

Nicole Scheffers, Director of Park & Resorts, highlighted the reasoning behind the rebranding, saying, “With the opening of the Efteling Grand Hotel in 2025 on the horizon, we wanted to market our first hotel even more clearly. The Efteling Wonder Hotel distinguishes itself from our other lodging locations through strong theming. It is a castle in the air full of wonderful stories.” (Translated from Dutch)

Efteling fans can look forward to the revamped hotel as a complement to the park’s growing resort offerings, ensuring the spirit of Efteling extends far beyond the park gates. Subscribe to AirMagique for more updates and news.
