Fairy tale enthusiasts have reason to rejoice! After several months of extensive refurbishment, the Fantasyland attraction, Le Pays des Contes de Fées, will reopen its doors on August 30, 2024.
https://anchor.fm/s/7618f58/podcast/rssThis year marks the 30th anniversary of Le Pays des Contes de Fées. To celebrate this milestone, Disney Imagineers have introduced three new scenes inspired by films from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios. Park goers will now be able to explore the majestic North Mountain with Elsa’s Ice Palace from “Frozen,” Carl Fredricksen’s house soaring above Paradise Falls from “Up,” and Winnie the Pooh’s iconic treehouse.

Imagineers and the Landscaping, Design & Delivery teams at Disneyland Paris have collaborated closely during the refurbishment. In addition to the new scenes, the giant storybook that marks the entrance has been restored and returned to its original location. The surrounding pathways have also been meticulously refurbished to complement the refreshed attraction.

Le Pays des Contes de Fées will now have Vittel as its presenting sponsor. Park goers may notice updated signage and new thematic elements in the queue, celebrating water’s role in Disney’s adventures.

Since its debut in 1994, Le Pays des Contes de Fées has entertained park goers with miniature recreations of kingdoms and distant lands. Based on Walt Disney’s original concept, the attraction is a unique rendition of the classic Storybook Land Canal Boats from Disneyland, featuring unique touches like Belle’s Village from “Beauty and the Beast” and Rapunzel’s Tower from “Tangled.”

The redesigned attraction poster, soon to be displayed at the Main Street, U.S.A. station, aims to evoke nostalgia and excitement among park goers. Le Pays des Contes de Fées, along with Casey Jr. – le Petit Train du Cirque, will officially welcome park goers back on August 30, 2024.Subscribe to AirMagique for more updates and news.
