After the rumored cancellation of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (Walt Disney Studios Park Paris) a land inspired by “Pandora – The World of Avatar” seems more likely. Allegedly, internal discussions were ongoing in regards to what could replace Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The rumored contenders were either a land inspired by “The Lion King” or “Avatar”.
“Avatar: The Way of Water” has seen such success that Disney’s has decided to shift the focus to the franchise. This will likely result in Disneyland Paris dropping the “The Lion King” and investing in a Parisian version of “Pandora – The World of Avatar”.

Given that more “Avatar” films have been released since the original land was build, the Paris version could shift the focus to a later point in the story. Furthermore, Disney has also announced that “a version of” Pandora – The World of Avatar will be coming to the Disneyland Resort, California.
As part of the major Walt Disney Studios 2.0 expansion Disneyland Paris is also adding the confirmed Arendelle — World of Frozen and the completed Avengers Campus Paris. The latter borrowed from expansion plans originally created for Hong Kong and Disneyland Resort California respectively.
