First Look: Updated Elsa Audio-Animatronic Coming To Frozen Ever After Attraction | Disneyland Paris

Disney Parks just shared their first look at the updated Elsa Audio-Animatronic coming to the Frozen Ever After Attraction in Hong Kong Disneyland.

Unlike the controversial projected face Audio Animatronics found in Frozen Ever After in Epcot (Walt Disney World), the new generation uses a dynamic face cast that can articulate complex facial expressions.

Disney Parks shared a video of the upgraded Elsa Audio-Animatronic:

In all likelihood the Frozen Ever After attraction coming to Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris will also be receiving the upgraded Audio-Animatronics. Since the exact same Audio Animatronics will be required for both the Paris and Hong Kong attractions, it is possible that Disney (or a subcontractor) have built all audio-animatronics at the same time. Using the same production process to minimize costs. Although Disneyland Paris has yet to confirm which version will be utilized in Walt Disney Studios Park.

Alongside Frozen Ever After, the world’s first Frozen-themed land will be debuting at Hong Kong Disneyland in the second half of 2023. World of Frozen is the park’s largest expansion to date. Hong Kong’s version of the land will also feature a Frozen-themed family-friendly roller coaster named Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs.

Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris currently has no plans to integrate a family coaster into it’s version of Arendelle.

In the drone video of the construction site, one can see the entire themed land is a recreation of the kingdom of Arendelle drawing upon the natural landscape of Lantau Mountain behind Hong Kong Disneyland as a backdrop.
