Vapiano, the fast-casual Italian restaurant in Disney Village at Disneyland Paris, is set for an interior renovation beginning in late 2026, the resort has announced. The work will be carried out in phases, with the restaurant remaining open to guests throughout construction, and is expected to be completed in early 2027.

The refresh comes roughly a decade after Vapiano first opened in Disney Village. The restaurant debuted in December 2016 as the district’s 14th dining venue, taking over roughly 1,000 square meters (about 10,800 square feet) of space beneath the district’s IMAX cinema that had previously housed a video arcade. The fast-casual concept centers on made-to-order pasta and pizza prepared in an open kitchen by staff Disneyland Paris refers to as “Vapianisti.”

Disneyland Paris has described the coming redesign as more contemporary and better suited to families, but it has not released renderings or said which specific elements — seating, layout, décor — will change. The resort has also not specified a construction schedule beyond “late 2026” to “early 2027,” saying further details would be shared as the project progresses.
The renovation is one of several projects currently reshaping Disney Village, the shopping, dining and entertainment district that connects Disneyland Paris’s two theme parks with its hotel area. In recent months, the resort has reopened its Sports Bar & Lounge with a redesigned terrace, opened a European store for the Pelé Soccer brand, and closed its longtime Disney Store, which is being replaced by a new concept called Disney Wonders. Annette’s Diner, a 1950s-themed restaurant in the district, closed in January 2026 for a multi-month refurbishment. Disneyland Paris has also announced a renovation of the district’s Pathé-run cinema complex, including new recliner seating, ahead of a 2027 debut, and a new multilevel Italian restaurant called Casa Giulia — operated by Bertrand Hospitality, which also runs Disney Village’s Brasserie Rosalie, The Royal Pub and Rainforest Café — is due to open before the end of 2026.

The Disney Village work is unfolding alongside a broader transformation across the resort, anchored by a roughly €2 billion (about $2.3 billion) investment that Disneyland Paris announced in 2018. Most of that spending has gone toward expanding the resort’s second gate, renamed Disney Adventure World this spring following the debut of a Frozen-themed area, along with renovations at several Disney hotels.
Vapiano the brand has had a bumpier corporate history than its Disney Village location might suggest. Founded in Hamburg, Germany, in 2002 and later headquartered in Cologne, the chain expanded rapidly across Europe and beyond before filing for insolvency in March 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic forced widespread restaurant closures. A group of hospitality investors bought the brand out of insolvency later that year, and the company now says it operates more than 155 restaurants worldwide.
