Disneyland Paris has confirmed that Frozen: A Musical Invitation will permanently close on 1 April 2026, bringing an end to more than six years of performances at the resort’s second theme park. The closure comes just days after the grand opening of World of Frozen, the sprawling new immersive land set to welcome its first guests on 29 March 2026.

A Farewell
Since its debut in November 2019, Frozen: A Musical Invitation has been a staple of the Animation Celebration theatre in Walt Disney Studios Park. Launched to coincide with the theatrical release of Frozen 2, the interactive show invited audiences to join Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf on stage for performances of beloved songs from the original Frozen film, including “Reindeers Are Better Than People,” “Love Is an Open Door,” and the iconic “Let It Go.” Performed in both French and English, the roughly 20-minute experience proved especially popular with younger guests, who were encouraged to learn dance moves and sing along. Following the show, visitors could meet Olaf for photos and a warm-hearted encounter. With its closure on 1 April, guests who wish to experience the show one final time will need to visit before that date. Notably, a brief three-day overlap window between 29 and 31 March will allow visitors to enjoy both the outgoing show and the newly opened World of Frozen during the same trip.

A New Name for a New Era
The closure of Frozen: A Musical Invitation coincides with a much larger transformation at Disneyland Paris. On 29 March 2026, Walt Disney Studios Park will officially be renamed Disney Adventure World, marking a historic rebrand for the resort’s second gate. The reimagined park will be organised around three immersive themed lands — the new World of Frozen, the existing Worlds of Pixar, and Marvel Avengers Campus — with a fourth land inspired by The Lion King currently under construction. The renaming reflects a broader shift away from the park’s original studio backlot concept toward fully immersive, story-driven environments.

Stepping into Arendelle
World of Frozen aims to be the centrepiece of Disney Adventure World’s debut. The new land transports visitors into the kingdom of Arendelle during its Snowflower Festival, offering a richly detailed environment anchored by the towering 36-metre North Mountain, crowned by Elsa’s Ice Palace. At the heart of the land is Frozen Ever After, a family-friendly musical driven dark ride (boat ride) carries guests through enchanted forests, the Valley of the Trolls, and Elsa’s glittering palace before a finale over Arendelle Bay. Beyond the headline attraction, guests can meet Anna and Elsa inside Arendelle Castle for a royal encounter, watch a lively daytime show performed on Viking longships on the bay, and explore the streets of the village with its themed shops and the Nordic Crowns Tavern. The land will also feature appearances by a next-generation robotic Olaf, unveiled by Walt Disney Imagineering in late 2025, representing a leap forward in character animation technology.

Disneyland Paris has reassured fans that while Frozen: A Musical Invitation may be ending, Anna and Elsa are not going anywhere. The characters will be a central presence in World of Frozen at Disney Adventure World and will continue to appear during Disney Stars on Parade in Disneyland Park. No replacement show has yet been announced for the Animation Celebration theatre.
