Disney Adventure World, previously named Walt Disney Studios Park, will debut its World of Frozen themed area on March 29, 2026. The expansion will transport guests to Arendelle, the fictional kingdom featured in Disney’s Frozen franchise.

Attraction and Experience Overview
The new area will feature the Frozen Ever After attraction, along with themed dining and shopping venues. A character meet-and-greet experience called Rencontre Royale (Royal Encounter) will offer guests the opportunity to meet Anna and Elsa, the film’s main characters. According to Disneyland Paris, this encounter format will be exclusive to the resort.

Royal Encounter Details
The meet-and-greet is designed to create the impression that park goers are entering Arendelle Castle during the fictional Snowflower Festival. The experience positions Anna and Elsa as hosting private audiences with visitors within the castle setting.

The waiting area incorporates visual references from the original Frozen film, including recreations of paintings featured during the “For the First Time in Forever” musical sequence. Among these is an adapted version of Jean-Honoré Fragonard’s 18th-century painting The Swing. The space also displays two family portraits: one showing Anna and Elsa as children with their parents, and another depicting the sisters as adults with supporting characters Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf.

Emma Yeates, Senior Manager of Show Design at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, explained that the waiting room aims to create an immersive environment. Design elements including wallpaper and artwork were developed to replicate elements from the film and enhance the castle atmosphere through royal family imagery.

Encounter Room Design
The main encounter space features a painting of King Agnarr’s coronation, displaying the royal orb and scepter that appear during Elsa’s coronation scene in the film. A clock matching one featured in the song “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” has been incorporated into the room’s design.

Yeates indicated that additional references to the Frozen universe and other Disney properties have been integrated throughout the experience, suggesting repeat visitors may discover new details.
