Alton Towers Resort has announced plans to introduce “Bluey the Ride: Here Come The Grannies!” a new junior roller coaster based on the popular children’s television series, when it opens in Spring 2026.
The attraction will feature characters Bluey and Bingo dressed as their granny personas, Janet and Rita, taking riders through a themed backyard setting. The coaster will include gentle drops, turns, and decorative elements including trees, flowers, and themed surprises designed for younger visitors.

According to the announcement, the ride will include an interactive queue area with photo opportunities and activities near a representation of Bluey’s house. The resort will also offer character meet-and-greet experiences through its “Bluey Live” show at Big Fun Show Time, along with themed accommodations at the CBeebies Land Hotel, where guests can book Bluey-themed rooms and suites decorated with characters from the series. Reservations for Spring 2026 visits are currently available through the resort’s booking system.

Alton Towers Resort, located in Staffordshire, England, is one of the United Kingdom’s largest theme parks. The resort features multiple themed areas and has been operating since 1980. CBeebies Land, which opened in 2014, is dedicated to BBC children’s programming and includes various attractions based on popular children’s shows. The addition of Bluey-themed experiences represents the park’s continued expansion of its family-oriented offerings.
