Construction on the large scale Disney Adventure World expansion at Disneyland Paris continues to advance, with Walt Disney Imagineering Paris teams collaborating with more than 800 professionals to create immersive new areas scheduled to open in 2026.

The World of Frozen area is steadily taking shape, with significant progress on the North Mountain centerpiece that rises 36 meters above ground level, creating a dramatic new skyline element for the park. The mountain’s structure required 400 tons of metal, subsequently covered with hand-painted sculpted concrete.

Imagineers are meticulously crafting details throughout Arendelle, from seaweed textures and cobblestones to life-size boats and specialized lighting, all designed to provide park goers with a deeply immersive Frozen experience. Work continues inside the Frozen Ever After attraction, where teams are installing scenery and programming 34 advanced Audio-Animatronics characters.

In Adventure Way, an extensive landscaping project is transforming the area into themed gardens. Over 1,000 trees were carefully selected from European nurseries and planted throughout the expansion area, with plans to add another 100,000 shrubs and groves to complete the atmospheric setting.

Recent milestones include the installation of prominent Woody and Jessie statues in the Toy Story garden, while the Raiponce Tangled Spin attraction has received its vehicles, designed to resemble the boats from the floating lanterns scene in Disney’s “Tangled.” Adding to the attraction’s authenticity, Mandy Moore, the original voice of Rapunzel, has recorded various announcements for the ride.

The expansion incorporates multiple elements to create an immersive guest experience, including detailed storytelling, architectural features, technological innovations, landscaping, custom signage, original music, and entertainment offerings—all designed to transport visitors into a comprehensive fantasy world when Disney Adventure World debuts its new areas in 2026.

Disneyland Paris also announced new details regarding World Premiere, the Lion King attraction, the refurbishment of Disney Sequoia Lodge, and a new UP attraction. Subscribe to AirMagique for more news and updates.
