The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge at Disneyland Paris is drawing attention for its detailed references to Disney’s 2021 animated feature Raya and the Last Dragon, which celebrated its fifth anniversary on March 5, 2026.

The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge, located along Adventure Way adjacent to Adventure Bay, is themed around Disney Princess characters and incorporates more than a dozen figures throughout its décor. The Walt Disney Imagineering Paris team drew on the characters’ individual stories and visual identities when designing the space, with Raya among the most prominently featured.

Guests encounter the first Raya reference in the entrance hall, where a set of nine hand-painted decorative porcelain plates is on display. One plate is dedicated to Raya and features the Kumandra flower symbol at its center, with dragon scale motifs and silhouettes of the dragon Sisu along its edges. The plates were produced in collaboration with Royal Delft, the historic Dutch porcelain manufacturer and official supplier to the Dutch royal family.

Further into the venue, a corridor lined with princess portraits leads guests toward the main dining area. Raya’s portrait is rendered in an Art Nouveau style, framed with carved woodwork incorporating golden crests referencing the Kumandra flower. Bowie Faas, Principal Creative Producer at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, noted that the Art Nouveau approach was chosen for its organic, nature-inspired ornamentation, which the team felt suited the restaurant’s overall aesthetic.

The corridor opens into the Reception Room, where a full-length mural spanning one wall depicts Disney Princess characters — including Anna and Elsa from Frozen — gathered in a forest setting, with the restaurant itself featured at the scene’s center. Raya appears on the left side of the composition, seated at the base of a tree and interacting with the Dragon Gem orb from the film.

The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge is scheduled to open its doors to guests on March 29.
