Disneyland Paris has offered an early preview of redesigned guest rooms at Disney Sequoia Lodge, as the resort moves forward with a sweeping refurbishment of one of its flagship hotels.

The renovation marks a new phase in the resort’s broader Disney Hotels transformation program. The first stage focuses on the hotel’s five outdoor lodges, a cluster of woodland cabins situated within the property’s signature sequoia forest setting. Preparatory construction work is already underway, while the Walt Disney Imagineering Paris team is currently finalizing model rooms to guide the project’s creative direction.

The model room process is a standard step in large-scale Disney renovations, allowing designers to assess their concepts at full scale before work begins in earnest. Sophie Coudré, Artistic Director at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, described the stage as an opportunity to validate design choices and make adjustments to materials and finishes ahead of the full rollout.

The refreshed rooms are set to reflect a nature-inspired aesthetic, incorporating nods to Disney and Pixar characters associated with forest settings — among them Bambi and the cast of Pixar’s Brave. The broader redesign, which will eventually extend to the hotel’s lobby, retail spaces, and dining areas, is described as an homage to wildlife and the natural world.

Disney Sequoia Lodge originally opened in 1992 and has been a fixture of the Disneyland Paris hotel offering for over three decades. The resort has confirmed that the hotel will remain open to guests throughout the refurbishment, with work proceeding in stages to minimize disruption.

No completion date for the full renovation has been announced.
