A new family-oriented free fall attraction will be constructed adjacent to the popular Baron 1898 dive coaster, according to an announcement from Efteling. Scheduled to open in summer 2026, the attraction will share the same thematic elements as the existing coaster while catering to visitors who find Baron 1898 too intense or do not meet its 1.32-meter height requirement.

Construction on the new attraction will commence after this summer. According to Koen Sanders, Director of Product, Market & Image, the addition “seamlessly complements the area around Baron 1898” and is “deliberately smaller in scale” to accommodate a wider audience while increasing capacity.

The announcement comes as Baron 1898, which opened ten years ago in the Ruigrijk section of the park, celebrates its anniversary. The original dive coaster, themed around mine exploration and the mythical White Wolves, features a 37.5-meter vertical drop designed for thrill-seeking guests who meet the minimum height requirement.
