Disneyland Paris has unveiled a new addition to Main Street, U.S.A.: a Victorian-style gazebo designed to withstand the challenges of Parisian weather. The structure, located between Liberty Arcade and Central Plaza, serves as a covered Character Meet ‘n’ Greet area, blending into the land’s Victorian theme.
https://anchor.fm/s/7618f58/podcast/rssCreated by Walt Disney Imagineering in collaboration with Disneyland Paris teams and external contractors, the gazebo showcases innovative materials, including a steel-like resin for durability. Its design features nods to the Victorian era, including a graceful chandelier and decorative details inspired by classic music gazebos. A vert-de-gris color palette also pays homage to the nearby Statue of Liberty and complements the gazebo’s proximity to Liberty Arcade.

“Our goal was to create a structure that feels like it has always been part of Main Street, U.S.A. while improving the experience for guests and Cast Members, particularly during inclement weather,” said Stéphane Poulain, architect at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris.

Beyond its primary function as a meet-and-greet area for Disney characters, the gazebo is open to guests at all times, offering a spot for photos and the potential for future entertainment. Its adjustable décor allows the Entertainment teams to customize the space for special events and celebrations.

The gazebo is part of a broader initiative to enhance the guest experience at Disneyland Paris, which also includes the construction of a covered terrace near Casey’s Corner. Set to debut in Spring 2025, the terrace will offer a seating area that aligns with Main Street, U.S.A.’s aesthetic. Construction for both projects is carried out primarily at night to minimize disruptions. Subscribe to AirMagique for more updates and news.
