Disneyland Paris has announced that a new Italian restaurant will replace Planet Hollywood in Disney Village. Casa Giulia, is set to open in 2026, offering a family-friendly experience. The two-story restaurant, with seating for over 500 guests, will add to the expanding culinary options at the entertainment district, which is currently undergoing significant transformation. Disneyland Paris is currently tearing down the Planet Hollywood globe structure and will continue to work on the 2,500-square-meter venue over the next year.

The development of Casa Giulia comes as part of a collaboration between Disneyland Paris and Bertrand Hospitality. BH is expanding its footprint in Disney Village following the recent opening of Brasserie Rosalie and the Royal Pub. The restaurant aims to cater to fans of Italian cuisine and further diversify the dining landscape at Disney Village.

Strategically located at the entrance of Disney Village, Casa Giulia will provide direct access from the esplanade connecting the Disney parks to the bus and train stations. The restaurant’s design will include first-floor terraces offering scenic views of the surroundings.

Casa Giulia will feature a variety of Italian dishes, with a focus on seasonal ingredients, presented with a modern twist to appeal to a wide range of palates. Like Brasserie Rosalie, the venue will also offer a counter service and takeaway section, serving Italian street food from breakfast through dinner. A bar will complement the dining experience with a range of Italian beverages.

Earlier this month, several fan sites reported that Planet Hollywood would be replaced by an Italian restaurant. In response, Disneyland Paris contacted those outlets, requesting the immediate removal of the reports. Local regulations, which require publicly accessible construction permits and their intended future use, contributed to the news circulating ahead of any official announcement from Disneyland Paris.

Fan reactions to the newly released concept art have been mixed, @natrxstxva on X writes “it’s giving soulless corporate” while @Le0ptimus adds “Same concept like Rosalie and McDonald’s… BORING”. Others have show moderate approval of the new design, @mathlemagicien on X wrote “Aesthetically, it’s an improvement compared to Disney Village in its original state. However, is it Disney Village or an eco-city concept?” (translated from French). Subscribe to AirMagique for more updates and news.
