A park spokeswoman reported on Friday that the car veered into a privacy fence outside the Phantasialand premises, ultimately stopping at a support pillar of the Taron multi-launch coaster.
This section of the coaster is situated between the privacy fence and the outer wall of Phantasialand, away from the visitor area, ensuring no other park goers were affected. Emergency services responded promptly, with the Brühl fire department dispatching three ambulances and emergency personnel to the scene. The four passengers, aged between 18 and 20, sustained minor injuries and were treated at the hospital, where they were later given the all-clear.

The police are investigating the cause of the accident, having secured evidence at the scene to aid in their reconstruction efforts. Phantasialand conducted a thorough inspection of the Intamin built coaster on Thursday, June 27, 2024, as a precautionary measure. The attraction was temporarily closed but resumed operations later that afternoon after the inspection confirmed its safety.

The swift response by emergency services and the park’s adherence to safety protocols ensured the incident was managed efficiently, maintaining the safety and well-being of park goers. Subscribe to AirMagique for more updates on this and future transformations.
