Disneyland Paris is gearing up for the reopening of its renowned Disneyland Hotel on January 25, 2024, inviting visitors to embark on a journey of Disney’s royal tales.
https://anchor.fm/s/7618f58/podcast/rssIn-house Destination Construction and Rehabilitation Project Management team, Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, alongside skilled European suppliers and craftsmen, worked together to re-design the Disneyland Hotel. The new royal theme draws inspiration from French and European styles.

The experience unfolds upon entering the opulent lobby. Adorned with a grand Bohemian crystal chandelier resembling the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle. Crafted by a glassblowing specialist in the Czech Republic using an specialised treatment to enhance the crystal.

Exclusive collections of artworks from 11 classic and contemporary Disney animated films, including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Princess and the Frog, Rapunzel, Snow Queen, Vaiana (Moana), and Raya and the Last Dragon, will be showcased in the Superior and Deluxe Rooms of the Disneyland Hotel.

The 16 Signature Suites, the Princess Suite, and the Royal Suite features custom decor elements inspired directly by Disney’s royal narratives. Disneyland Paris has also updated the soundtrack in Fantasia Gardens. A decision that has received mixed reviews since it now only features scores from Disney’s Princess films.

Over 200 French and European companies played a role in the 18-month rehabilitation of the hotel. The European team collaborated to create custom upholstery, carpentry, woven fabrics, glassware, porcelain, and champagne for the Disneyland Hotel.

The Castle Club Lounge boasts crockery from the renowned Maison Haviland, a Limoges porcelain manufacturer since 1842. Tableware has been crafted with a blend of modernism and artisanal creativity.

The Royal Banquet at the hotel features a gallery of custom made portraits depicting Disney’s royal families, including the Dunbroch Clan (Merida’s Family) from Disney Pixar’s movie “Brave”.

Imagineers and artists from Pixar Studios drew inspiration from the medieval Scotland setting of the film to create an intricate tapestry, utilizing the expertise of Flanders Weaving artisans.

Situated in the historic textile basin of Northern France, this workshop has been producing high-end tapestries for over 130 years, bringing the Imagineers’ vision to life.

Disneyland Paris has also released pricing and packages for the “My Royal Dream” makeover experience. The makeover experience caters to kids as young as three years old, offering services such as hair styling, make-up, a royal costume, accessories, and a professional photoshoot. Pricing ranges from 95 Euro for the smallest package, all the way up to 440 Euro for the signature package.

Reservations for this experience can be made through the Disneyland Paris official App, starting December 13th, 2023, for Disney Hotels guests and from December 20th, 2023, for all visitors. It is important to note that this experience is subject to payment, reservation, and availability.
