From November 13 to January 28, 2024, Efteling’s special winter offerings will be available in the parks on a daily basis. This year’s edition introduces life-size snow globes and a multitude of luminous butterflies. The Warm Winter Meadow also makes a comeback with a new entrance and a larger ice skating ring.

As daylight fades, Efteling park continues to shine with illuminated attractions and fairy tales. When the sun sets the nighttime spectacular Aquanura water show will close out the day.

This year, the Speelweide transforms into the inviting Warm Winter Meadow. Beyond its gates, visitors will discover daily entertainment and a musical program. Opportunities for memorable photos with characters like Pardoes, Fay the Fairy, and Pinocchio abound, as well as musical delights provided by Vocals and Happy will keep park goers entertained. The Vreugdev fires offer a place to warm up, while chalets present games and delicious winter treats. The Winter Meadow is also home to an larger than ever open-air ice rink for skating enthusiasts.

Park goers can also pose on the sleigh at the Warm Winter Meadow or alongside the wintry Max and Moritz. A unique experience awaits in the Fairytale Forest, where you can step into the giant’s socks hanging by the fire.

This year, Efteling will also introduce life-size snow globes, located on the Ton van de Venplein and in Ruigrijk. Park goers can step inside and enjoy the snowy spectacle, great for creating winter-themed photos.

New to this year’s Winter Efteling are special luminous butterflies, a creative collaboration between Sander de Bruijn, Efteling’s chief designer, and ASML for the GLOW light festival. Elements of the ‘Connecting your love’ lighting project can be admired during the Winter Efteling.

Starting from November 18, the Carrousel Theater will host the international show “A Wonderful Wintertime,” featuring Mr. and Mrs. Time. On weekends and holidays, the audience will be taken on a musical journey, with winter songs predominantly in English. Park goers can join in the singing while enjoying a hot drink with a cinnamon bun.

The Winter Efteling is open until January 7, 2024, shorter than previous seasons which lasted until March, with daily operating hours from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, on weekends and Christmas holidays, the park extends its hours for an earlier opening and later closing. For instance, from December 23, 2023, to January 7, 2024, the park will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., except on December 31. For the most up-to-date information on opening hours, guests are encouraged to check the park’s opening calendar and the Efteling app.
