In the latest updates from Destination D23, the Official Disney Fan Club event in Florida, Disneyland Paris shared insights into two ongoing projects at the resort: the transformation of the Disneyland Hotel and the expansion of Walt Disney Studios Park.

The Disneyland Hotel, situated at the entrance to Disneyland Park, is set to reopen in early 2024 following an extensive royal makeover. Thomas Muller, a set designer from Walt Disney Imagineering, offered a behind-the-scenes look at the hotel’s renovations, including the grand lobby and elegant Rotunda.

The tour also unveiled The Royal Banquet, a dining experience amidst a collection of Disney royal family portraits, featuring characters as chefs like Kronk from “The Emperor’s New Groove” and Chef Louis from “The Little Mermaid.” The Disneyland Hotel will become the first Disney hotel to celebrate the diverse world of Disney royalty, immersing guests in a captivating journey through Disney’s iconic stories. Stay tuned for further updates on September 12.

Meanwhile, at Walt Disney Studios Park, progress continues on the upcoming land inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen.” The Kingdom of Arendelle is gradually taking shape, with themed facades for the village, the castle’s foundation, and early structures for the snow-capped mountain that will serve as a backdrop for this new area.

Imagineers are also actively working on Audio-Animatronics characters for the kingdom’s main attraction, promising an immersive experience. Nearby, construction has commenced on rock structures and an art nouveau-style table service restaurant, as depicted in the accompanying video.

New experiences are on the horizon, including Ahsoka’s arrival in “Star Tours: The Adventures Continue” next spring, along with Asha, the heroine of the upcoming Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Wish.” Disney Village is poised for a complete reinvention in the coming years, accompanied by new shows in 2024 and the expansion of Walt Disney Studios Park.
