Europa-Park has revealed the highlights for this year’s “Traumatica – Festival of Fear”. The halloween extravaganza will feature an array of horror themed attractions. Traumatica, which spans across 24 evenings, is set to feature seven eerie haunted houses, three immersive scare zones, four thrill rides, and a spine tingling circus performance. The German amusement park has expanded its event area on the park’s periphery for this standalone festival.

These attractions are now known as “Wax Museum – Traumatic Tales,” “Grim’s Funhouse – Showtime,” “Skin Deep – Backstage,” “Tarot House – Coven,” and “Petting Zoo – Family Reunion.”

In addition to the familiar experiences, two brand-new spine-tingling encounters have been introduced: “Last Stand” and “Unknown.” “Last Stand” centers around battling zombies with laser guns, as visitors join an underground clan to combat the undead threat. On the other hand, “Unknown” is shrouded in mystery, with Europa-Park intriguingly inviting attendees to embark on a journey of discovery to unravel its secrets.

For those seeking a break from the horror, a section of Europa-Park will remain accessible during the event. This section will feature family-friendly attractions like the Pegasus roller coaster, the Matterhorn-Blitz wild mouse ride, and the immersive 360-degree cinema experience in the Traumzeit Dome. Notably, the rotating house attraction, “Fluch der Kassandra,” can now be experienced with the added immersion of virtual reality (VR) glasses. The event also includes a theatrical circus show titled “The Traumatica Circus: Apocalypse,” with performances scheduled at 9 p.m. and 10.30 p.m.

Traumatica will take place between September 27 and November 11, spanning from 7 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. Festival goers can enter the horror festival at 6.45 p.m. Tickets for the event are exclusively available online, with prices starting at 31 euros for the premiere night and ranging from 41 to 46 euros for subsequent dates.

Additionally, the Poseidon roller coaster station will transform into the “Vampire’s Club” for those aged 18 and over, offering a unique nightclub experience. Another extra-ticketed experience, “Eden Manor – Balthazar’s Secrets,” will immerse visitors in a clandestine lounge reminiscent of an old country house and is available for 99,00 €. Europa-Park is dedicated to delivering a blend of theatrical, interactive, and virtual surprises throughout the event. To gain access to these experiences, separate tickets are required. A premium priority pass, known as the “ShoxterPass,” is available for 92 to 97 euros, and includes general admission.

For an elevated experience, the new VIP option known as “The Witching Hour” offers unlimited use of the quicker ShoxterPass entrance to haunted houses and the Vampire’s Club, along with a meal, three beverages, and reserved seating for ‘The Traumatica Circus’. Moreover, VIP attendees will be treated to the exclusive The Witching Hour Experience. As described by Europa-Park, The Witching Hour Experience offers an immersive opportunity for attendees to delve deep into the narrative universe of Traumatica. This encounter unfolds within intimate groups in two time slots, ensuring that each participant enjoys a truly distinctive and personalized experience.
