Park goers can now look forward to experiencing the newly opened Luca expansion in Pizzeria Bella Notte at Disneyland Paris.
After the former Fantasia Gelati ice cream location shut down in in May 2022, Disneyland Paris began to work on the reconstruction of the entire structure.

The new Luca themed expansion conveys the seaside and summer atmosphere of the Italian Riviera by bringing a piece of Portorosso to Disneyland Park.

Imagineers worked closely with Pixar artists to develop original artwork for the new space. A large mural featuring the titular Luca Paguro in his sea monster form on the shores of Portorosso, is the centerpiece of the expansion.
Walt Disney Imagineering Paris teams also drew inspiration from Italian fisher boat repair shops. Creating a space the villagers Portorosso might hang out in and enjoy some delicious Italian food.
The new space has been filled with several details to look out for. More than 60 fishing inspired utensils and accessories have been created and decorate the space.
Including the kitchen utensils and ingredients needed to make “Chef Massimo’s pasta”. Another fun detail is Lucas diving helmet used during the Portorosso Cup!

Imagineers have included a few nods to “it’s a small world” on the facade. The iconic Fantasyland attraction is located directly in front of the new Luca dining room expansion.
Another indirect reference to “it’s a small world” are the mosaic tile fragments that have adorned the outdoor courtyard since 1992. These were once part of a mural Mary Blair designed for Tomorrowland at Disneyland (California).
