“King Ludwig’s Castle” restaurant at Disney Village will close permanently on January 8, 2023. The Bavarian dining hall will be swiftly re-themed to “The Royal Pub”, a new English pub concept opening in February, 2023. Future pub goers will experience a new facade, terrace, bar area, as well as a dining room refresh.

“King Ludwig’s Castle” is the second restaurant to close after “Café Mickey”, which teams began working on earlier this year. This is all part of Disneyland Paris’s, Disney Village 2.0 plan, which is going to bring major updates and changes to the shopping and dining district.
Moving away from the King Ludwig II inspired theme, “The Royal Pub” will serve a selection of traditional English fare and will be operated by Groupe Bertrand, who will also be operating the new French Brasserie “Rosalie” (former “Café Mickey”). Groupe Bertrand is a longtime partner of Disneyland Paris and also operates other locations in Disney Village as well as restaurants in Paris.

Construction teams will update the location’s look, the terrace and facade – including a new entrance – as well as a renovated bar area. “The Royal Pub” will serve finger and comfort food, with a wide selection of craft beers, all-day breakfast, fish & chips, Guinness-braised beef, pies, flatbreads, toasted sandwiches, salad bowls, and desserts.
“The Royal Pub” will remain open throughout 2023 and will continue to evolve over time in line with the Disney Village transformation.
