The Disneyland Paris teams are hard at work installing a new horticulture installation in Disneyland Park. “Gardens of Wonder” is comprised of 10 unique themes. Installed in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, the gardens will feature 30 new art pieces.
One character for each of the years Disneyland Paris has been open to the public. Comprised of kinetic Disney and Pixar mobiles, flowers, landscaping, and glow in the dark effects. Each element celebrates nature, popular Disney and Pixar characters, and offers a new are for park goers to explore.
The mobiles will be heavily stylised, so it may be a challenge for park goers to identify each and every character. Each of these pieces has been imagined by the Landscaping and Entertainment teams. Production and manufacturing has been handed over to local craftsmen whose know-how has contributed to Disneyland Paris for many years.
Inspired by Salvador Dali, the 10 themes will be comprised of Disney and Pixar Characters. Definitely expect to find Princesses to Villains. Garden of Asia, for example, will include sculptures of Baymax (Big Hero 6), Mushu (Mulan) and Sisu (Raya and the Last Dragon).
The 3D modeling and handmade construction of these 30 art pieces were carried out in collaboration with 3 French companies based in Ile-de-France. Engineers, technicians, and painters collaborated with Yves Ollier, Set Designer Manager at Disneyland Paris.
