First Look: New Daytime Show & 30th Anniversary Costumes

Disneyland park in Paris opened on April 12, 1992 as part of Euro Disney.

Since it’s grand opening the resort has hosted more than 375 million visits, making it Europes most visited tourist attraction.

Over the past 30 years, Disneyland Paris has continued to develop and expand, with the opening of it’s second gate on the 16th of March 2002. That being the controversial and hopefully to be much better in the future, Walt Disney Studios Park.

These days 16,000 Cast Members (a.k.a. employees) from over 500 professions keep the resort running.

More than 200 shows have been produced by the Entertainment department since 1992.

The new daytime show “Dream… and Shine Brighter!“ will premiere along with the 30th anniversary celebration on March 6, 2022.

First look at the new daytime show produced for the 30th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris “Dream… and Shine Brighter!“.

The new show will be performed daily – several times a day – on Central Plaza in Disneyland Park.

Consisting of 3 themes that celebrate the power of laughter, passion, and dreams. The show will feature more than 30 Disney Characters, dancers, colorful floats as well as a new custom soundtrack.

The shows newest flagship song is titled “Un Monde qui s’Illumine” which translates to “A world that lights up”.

See Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and their friends decked out in their new iridescent costumes, created especially for the 30th Anniversary show.

In addition the Genie from Aladdin, Princess Rapunzel, Jessie and Woody from Toy Story, are also going to join in on the fun.

Speaking of new costumes here are some costuming fun facts:

  • Mickey and Minnie’s wardrobe consists of more than 450 costumes.
  • Since 1992, more than 30,000 costumes have been designed in the ateliers of Disneyland Paris – making it one of the largest costume collections in Europe.
  • Milliners, pattern makers, and seamstresses make up the costuming department at Disneyland Paris. In total, more than 40 people work in the ateliers.
  • To design the costumes of this 30th Anniversary, more than 2,000 lines of rhinestone were sewn, 700 meters of fabrics were printed, and more than 190 jewels were utilized.
